William Bernard McNanney IV

William Bernard McNanney IV, age 67, of St. Clair Shores, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on December 11, 1954 in Detroit to William and Joan (nee: Dalka) McNanney.

William will be remembered for his love of music and his God given ability to share that love with others. He was a well-known guitarist who performed Gospel, Jazz and Blues music.

He is survived by his 3 children, Sean McNanney (Sinan Tuncay), Rachel Lloyd (Daren), and Melissa McNanney; his mother, Joan McNanney “Mimi”; his 5 siblings, Sarah McNanney, Jane Bunch (Brian), Doug McNanney, and Brian McNanney (Christine). His father, William B McNanney II ; his sister, Susan Joan McNanney and Nephew Jared Alan Glenn preceded him in death

A requiem mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Assumption Grotto Catholic Church (13770 Gratiot Ave, Detroit, MI 48205). Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:30 am in the vestibule at church. Rosary will be said at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Assumption Grotto Cemetery.
