Dear Yanis family, I am so sorry for your loss. There are some high school teachers you just don't forget. Bill Yanis is one of them. billy was so much a part of the oresky family.david and i grew up with him and went to p h s togeher. he played football with bob rasimas. he was my niece kathy's gym teacher. laura was a friend of my niece, kelley. he played ball with my brothers david and pete, and later on, golf. needless to say, our family will truly miss billy.roseann, our hearts are broken for you and your family.may god's grace shine on you through this difficult time.

Mrs Yanis we were all shocked to read about Mr Yanis' passing. There are no words to express my sadness especially, he brought such a smile to my face each time I talked to him and saw those sparkling eyes walk through the door here at the office. I was stunned by the news of Bill's death. Though I was unable to attend either the viewings nor the funeral due to family commitments. I knew him to be a good teacher, a fine athlete and a great coach. I send my deepest condolences to the entire family.

It is with sadness that I send my belated thoughts and prayers to the entire Yanis family. I have many fond and special memories of Bill. He was a good man and a good friend.

As a graduate of SHHS-Class of 79 I had the pleasure of having Mr. Yanis as my "homeroom teacher!" He was such a wonderful man who taught me not only in the classroom, but by example, the meaning of "hard work!" He was a wonderful man and a great educator! So sorry to hear of Bill's passing, can remember the many good times we had at S.H.H.S. and after games going over the scores, win or lose. The boys and I often talk about old times at S.H.H.S. Mary and I are so very sorry.
