Yetta Hanna

Yetta "Ida" Hanna, age 93, died peacefully on October 2, 2008 at the Luther Manor in Sioux Falls, SD. Ida was born on July 20, 1915 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Herbert and Katherine Hallo. Her family moved to Detroit where she eventually met and married Fred Hanna, her husband of 52 years. Ida is survived by her two daughters; Phyllis Clark (Jim) of Sioux Falls, SD and Marion Dries (Jim) of Evergreen, CO; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Hallo and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Fred and her parents. Ida was devoted to her husband, her two daughters and her faith. Her joys in life were her grandchildren, cooking, travel and meeting new people. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, with a trisagion service at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. The Very Reverend Joseph Antypas, Pastor of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church of Troy will officiate. Interment will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, in Clinton Township.
