

A skilled seamstress, she worked at Swan’s Fur Vault and later at Madison’s, where she was known for her exceptional talent in altering jackets and clothing. Spending time in her garden, reading and learning other languages; Russian & Spanish were just a couple of her favorite ways to relax and enjoy her free time.
In 1961, she proudly became a citizen of the United States. Feisty and independent, she enjoyed being a bit of a rebel now and then and was always ready for a lively debate.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry G. Farringer Sr., beloved companion, Norm Schneider.
Grunja is survived by her sons, Harry (Bonnie) Farringer and Walter (Judy) Farringer; beloved grandchildren, Diana Spangler, Megan Farringer, Breannah McCoy and Timmy McCoy.
Great-grandson Matthew Ryan Spangler.
Brother Gustl (Rosie) Plattner; and many nieces, nephews and extended family in Austria.
A graveside service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026 in the Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S High St, Lockbourne, OH 43137. Inurnment will follow.
