With a gentle spirit and a kind-hearted way of moving through the world, Bays was beloved by many for the quiet thoughtfulness and compassion she showed in everyday moments. She gave of herself without fanfare, offering steady care and consideration that made others feel seen, valued, and supported.
For the last four years, Bays worked for Red Robin, where her devoted and selfless nature could be felt in the way she approached each day and the people around her.
Bays found joy in the things that made life feel bright and memorable—especially Halloween and working in haunted houses. She loved singing karaoke, doing makeup, and spending summer days swimming. She also enjoyed good food, with a special fondness for Oreos and fudge. Above all, Bays’ love and devotion shone most clearly in the care she gave to Brayden and the time she cherished with him.
Bays is survived by her mother, Joann Johnston; son, Brayden Johnston; sister, Briana Johnston; brother, Mark Johnston; Brayden’s dad, Dante Kelly; and his son, Kaden Kelly; step dad, Brian Ross; sister, Jennifer (Steve) Graessle; aunts and uncles, James (Loretta) Johnston, Michael (Robin) Johnston, Christopher Johnston, and Michelle (Matthew Saulsbury) Johnston; special cousins, Angel Maier, Courtney Johnston, and Kiersten Johnston, Makayla Johnston; niece, Genesis Cooper, along with many other cousins, and a lot of friends.
