

She was born on October 6, 1940, in Elwood, Indiana, to the late Florence and William John. She grew up in Elwood, attended Ball State University, and later became a dedicated fifth grade teacher. During her years in Indiana, she met the love of her life, Ralph Hedenskoog, whom she married on December 10, 1967. Together they raised three children, Melissa, Matthew, and Michael.
Beatrice was a woman of many talents and passions. A proud member of Eastern Star for more than sixty years, she was especially active in the Triangle Chapter, where she formed lifelong friendships and shared a commitment to service. Her creativity was ever present in her daily life, whether sketching, crafting handmade wreaths, or sewing clothes for her children. She also found joy in writing and was published in the Rocky Fork Enterprise News, the local newspaper in Gahanna.
She cherished traveling with Ralph and their family. Some of her most treasured memories came from their cruises and their journeys to Spain, Scotland, France, and Japan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother. She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-eight years, Ernest Ralph Hedenskoog, and by her children, Melissa Anne (Robert) Noble and their children, Joisinga, Jordanna, and Josiah Noble of Missouri, Matthew (Asami Kumon) Hedenskoog of Gahanna, Ohio, and Michael (Michelle) Hedenskoog of Hawaii. She is also survived by her twin sister, Barbara Hamilton, along with extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
Beatrice will be remembered for her remarkable ability to relate to others, her comforting presence, and her willingness to be a steady shoulder to cry on. She was deeply charitable, loyal to her friends and family, and steadfast in her compassion for those in need.
A visitation will be held at Schoedinger Norris Grove City, located at 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123, on November 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
The committal service is scheduled for November 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., and will take place at Elwood City Cemetery, located at 1000 S E St, Elwood, Indiana 46036.
