Brenda Sue Cooper, cherished mother, daughter, friend, and colleague, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication that will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Survived by her beloved son, Evan Cooper, Brenda is also mourned by her devoted mother, Kathleen Bowling; dear friend, Christie Ward; her loving family, particularly her favorite cousin, Bev Posey, and niece, Maggie Behana, who was like a daughter; her faithful feline companion, Izzy; as well as many close friends throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Slater; her loyal canine companion, Griffey; and Evan's father, Mark Cooper.
Brenda's professional journey was marked by commitment and excellence. She served diligently as an Executive Assistant with the State of Ohio Pharmacy Board, Goodwill Columbus, Marine Concepts in Cape Coral, FL, and International Friendships. Her dedication to her work left a lasting impact on those she served.
A proud alumna of Circleville Bible College, now known as Ohio Christian University, Brenda graduated in 1980. She was also a graduate of Paint Valley High School, Class of 1976, where she forged lifelong friendships and cherished memories. Following her graduation, Brenda continued her association with Circleville Bible College, where she contributed her talents and passion.
In her leisure time, Brenda found joy in simple pleasures. An avid Cincinnati Reds and OSU Buckeyes fan, she delighted in watching Joe Morgan's legendary performances for the Reds. She cherished trips to the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg area and savoring the beautiful views from a cozy cabin with many friends and family. Brenda's culinary skills were admired by many, particularly her signature no-bake cookies and bundt cakes, which brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to taste them.
Brenda's spiritual journey was a cornerstone of her life. A valued member of Rock City Church in Hilliard, she found solace, community, and purpose within its walls. She was also a cherished member of the Trinity Wesleyan Church family, where her faith was nurtured and strengthened.
Brenda Sue Cooper's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and service. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will continue to inspire and uplift us. May she rest in peace, knowing that she touched countless lives with her kindness and grace. A visitation will be held on Monday April 29, 2024 from 1-3 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd. (Hoover Rd. at Kingston Ave.) where her funeral service will begin at 3 pm. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 11 am at Bainbridge Cemetery in Bainbridge, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Rock City Church.
