Butch Selvage

With saddened hearts, on Christmas Eve 2022, we said goodbye to Butch Selvage, of Grove City, OH at the age of 82. He was born in Paintsville, KY on March 20, 1940, to the late Clate and Louise Selvage. He is also preceded in death by his brother J.C. Selvage, sisters, Georgene Reed and Sharleen O’Bryan. Butch is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Brenda J. (Hunter) Selvage of Grove City, OH , son, Joseph “Jody” (Kathleen Hathaway) Selvage, of Orient, OH, granddaughters, Leanne Estes of Canal Winchester, OH, Shana Rae Selvage of Grove City, OH, great granddaughter, Everley Selvage and nephew, Kevin O’Bryan, of Black Rock, CT. Butch chose professional auctioneering as his profession due to his background and knowledge in machine tools. Selvage and Associates LLC was formed and in operation from 1973 until 2017, when Butch retired. He was also a member of the BPOE #37 in Grove City and was a Mason for many years. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 5-7pm with a memorial service beginning at 7 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd (Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave) with Pastor Ted Kiger officiating.
