Carol L. Ekers

Carol L. Ekers, 75, of Grove City, OH passed away peacefully at her residence Friday July 28th, 2023. She was born March 20, 1948 in Cleveland, OH to Clarence and Georgia Schneider. In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her In-Laws, Frank and Mary Ekers.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and “sidekick” husband of 54 years, Mike Ekers, Son, Toby (Michelle) Ekers, Daughter, Tiffany Ekers, all of Grove City, Granddaughter, Kayla (Austin) Treneff of Columbus, and Brother, David Schneider of Livermore, CA. She also leaves behind her best friend since high school Linda Hall, as well as a host of other family and friends.

Carol was a 1966 Grove City Jackson High School graduate and a 1969 graduate of Merritt College in Oakland, CA. She retired from Nationwide Children’s Hospital after 38 years of dedicated service starting as a Radiologic Technician and eventually retiring as Radiology Informatics Manager in 2008. She was the 1967 International Order of Job’s Daughters Honored Queen. Carol enjoyed talking history and politics and watching crime shows…Law & Order (the original) was her favorite. She was also an avid reader. However, she loved nothing more than her family.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to Mount Carmel Hospice and her Nurse Pam for the wonderful care they provided for her and our Family over the last few months.

A visitation time will be held for Carol from 4-6 pm on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd. (Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave.)
