Carrie "CJ" Joyce Caldwell passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the age of 37. She was born in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Westland High School. Carrie loved music and basketball, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes. She loved all animals but mostly her own fur babies, like her beloved dog Mace. Carrie had a passion for cooking and worked in the restaurant business. Whenever she helped in the kitchen, you could always hear her say "add more sugar" or "it needs more spices". One of Carrie’s greatest achievements and favorite pastimes was being a mom, a sister, and an aunt where she glowed with love and joy. Carrie is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Edson Earl Kidwell and John Hughes Caldwell; her uncle, Brian John Caldwell; and her stepbrother, Shawn Bacus. She is survived by those who loved her most including her parents, Alisha (Tom Mellott) Caldwell and Michael (Donna) Caldwell; daughter, Lovely Adrianna Johnson; son, Michael “MJ” Amere Johnson; her sisters, Sandra Michelle (Jesus) Cazares, Chelsea Elizabeth Caldwell, Abigail Paige (John Mayer) Redman, Aubree Faye Bretzinger, Ashley (AJ Johnson) Bacus; stepbrother, Jonathon Bacus; grandmothers, Sandra Kidwell, Brenda Joyce Caldwell and Ernestine Lydia Carpenter; the father of her children, Mike Johnson; uncles, Poper Lee Kidwell, Edson Guy Kidwell and Christopher Michael Carfora;and many nephews, nieces and friends. Family will be accepting friends 4:00 – 5:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., (HOOVER RD AT KINGSTON AVE), Grove City, Ohio. Memorial Service to follow at 5:00 pm.
