Cathy Mae (Crabtree) Frye Moore, 72, passed peacefully on June 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and quiet strength. Born on January 11, 1954, in Logan, West Virginia, Cathy always carried her hometown in her heart. Logan was where her roots were planted, and no matter where life took her, it remained the place she lovingly called “home.”
A 1972 graduate of Logan High School, Cathy moved to Ohio shortly after, where she built a beautiful life centered around family. She raised two daughters, Stephanie and Ginger, who were the pride of her life. In 1993, she married her loving husband, Jeffrey Moore, beginning a 33 year journey filled with partnership, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
Cathy was a mother, a grandmother, a wife, and a caretaker in every sense of the word. She was a natural born caregiver, a role she embraced with her whole heart. She lovingly cared for her father during the last ten years of his life, tending to him with patience, devotion, and unwavering compassion. Her family finds comfort in knowing she was reunited with him in heaven on his birthday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline and Fred Crabtree; her brother, Roger Baldwin; and her in laws, Irene and James Moore.
Cathy’s hands were rarely still. She was crafty, creative, and happiest when making something with love. She cherished the outdoors—camping, exploring, and especially spending time with her grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her days. Her presence was warm, steady, and full of quiet wisdom.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeffrey Moore; her daughters Stephanie (Leroy) Fooce and Ginger (Mark) Burcham; and her beloved grandchildren: Madison Pepper, Tatum Burcham, Holly Burcham, Taylor (Dalton) Anders, Aleia (Trenton) Maag, and Austin (Lilly) Fooce.
