Charles "Chuck" W. Sherrick

Charles W. “Chuck” Sherrick, age 83, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023 at the Arbors of Carroll. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Sherrick, great grandson, River Allen Lee Pettey, siblings, Maxine Sherrick, Delbert Sherrick, Wanda (Richard “Dick”) Helwagen. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Connie, children, Christina Underwood, Candice (Rocky) Dalton, Craig Sherrick, grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) Underwood-Green, Wesley (Dani) Slack, Whitney (Greg) Pettey, Cortney Slack, great grandchildren, Remi Pettey, J. Parker Green, Shelby Pettey, Colt Pettey, siblings, Betty Bergen, Lucy Marcum, Louis Sherrick, Dwight (Kathy) Sherrick, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He retired from Holland Trucking with 34 years of dedicated service with no accidents or tickets over the many miles he traveled. After retiring, he worked for the Groveport Links as a way to be around the hobby he loved, Golf. He was a member of the Grove City Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the Church Board, a head usher, and was a Sunday School Teacher, and a Teamster. Chuck enjoyed golf, and going to Grove City High School football and basketball games, rooting on The Ohio State Buckeyes, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family especially the grandchildren. A visitation time will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 11-1 pm with the funeral service beginning at 1 pm with Pastor Owen Stotts, officiating. Entombment will be at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Ohio or Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
