Cleetice Lee Neal, age 67 of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 26, 2024. Cleetice was born November 11, 1956 to the late James Leroy Sr. and Annabelle (neè Thomas) Neal. Cleetice grew up in West Jefferson where he participated in track (hurdles, high jump and relays), and graduated from West Jefferson High School, class of 1975. He was a master carpenter, welder and worked for many years at Doctor’s West Hospital. Cleetice enjoyed fishing, arrowhead hunting, listening to music and singing.
Cleetice is survived by his siblings Patricia (Robert) Wess, Jean Stewart (Dalis Tipton), James Leroy Neal, Jr., Anna (Donnie) Matusiak, and Marvin (Carol) Neal. Nieces and nephews; Crystal Uphold, Wade White, Ericka Burchett, Amanda Worrix, Jami Cramer, David & Derek Neal, Lauren Stratton, Donnie Matusiak Jr., Rocky Tanner and Rebecca Holt. Many great nieces, nephews and friends. Cleetice’s family will receive friends 12-1pm Tuesday March 12 at Schoedinger Grove City where his Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1pm. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
