Constance "Connie" Elaine Sonnen

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Craig A. Sonnen, and her parents, Donald and Joan Keil. She is survived by her four children, Lloyd Sonnen II, Jessica (Bill) Curry, Kyle Sonnen, and Elizabeth (Van) Daranikone; seven grandchildren, Mason and Harper Danze, Vance, Revan, Corvan, and Cambrie Daranikone, and Hadley Curry; her brother, Richard (Joan) Keil; sisters in law, Christie and Cindy Sonnen; and many other loving family members and friends.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1953, Connie spent most of her childhood and school years in Albany, New York. She graduated from South Colonie High School in 1971 and earned her associate degree in business from Hudson Valley Community College in 1973.

Connie and Craig were married in 1975 at Hoge Memorial Presbyterian Church and made their home in Grove City, OH, where they began raising their family. They were long time members of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where Connie was active in the bell choir and the OWLS group. She loved cheering on her children and grandchildren in their sports and dance activities and cherished visits to the Hocking Hills, a place filled with many happy memories from their long and loving marriage.

A talented embroiderer, Connie created many beautiful pieces over the years. She also had a passion for photography, faithfully documenting her children’s and grandchildren’s plays, sports, cheer and dance events, birthdays, holidays, and family milestones—resulting in several treasured tubs of family photos. Connie was a dedicated employee of JPMorgan Chase Bank, where she worked for many years before retiring in 2010.

A memorial service honoring Connie’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St., Grove City, Ohio 43123. Family will receive guests one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m., in the church sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Connie’s memory may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church’s unrestricted memorial fund at the address above.
