Don L. Hutchins, age 65, died at Mt. Carmel Grove City on June 2, 2024. He was born to IV and Frances Hutchins on January 17, 1959 in Columbus, OH where he lived all his life. He graduated from Central High School in 1977 and attended Columbus State Community College. Don worked as a truck driver for over 18 years, most of them with Cottingham Paper Company until he got hurt on the job. He loved OSU Buckeyes, his rescue dogs, his 2001 Monte Carlo car and going out to dinner with his family and friends. He loved to watch movies, playing cards, board games and sitting on the front porch in his rocking chair watching people go by. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and many aunts and uncles. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 21 years, Denise, 2 step-sons, Andrew (Rachel) Cook and Chad Cook, brother, Robert Hutchins and good close friends that he loved and treasured. Even though he was a gentle and quiet man he could always say something to make you laugh and be ornery and pull a prank! If you were lucky to have known Don you had a friend for life. He will remain in our hearts forever and will be profoundly missed. Visitation will be held on 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City where funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate where he will be buried next to his mother.
