Donald B. "Don" Leppert

Don was a 1948 graduate of Hilliard High School and went on to build a long and hardworking career. He served as a regional manager for Dobbs House Restaurant and later owned the Biltmore Bar and Restaurant on the west side of Columbus. In 1989, Don and his partner, Barbara Stickel, founded Real Estate First, where he continued working as a Realtor for many years.

Don enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing golf, especially with his league at Safari Golf Course near the Columbus Zoo. In his later years, he also enjoyed spending time at the casino playing poker and the slot machines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mae (Nunamaker) Leppert; his children, Donald B. Leppert Jr. and Debbie (Jim) Chappelow; his partner and companion of more than 41 years, Barbara Stickel; his special friend and nephew, Victor Lee (Judy) Cznadel; as well as his ten brothers and four sisters.

Don is survived by his stepchildren, Rhonda Fetherolf and Jeff Stickel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, Grove City.
