Dorothy "Dottie" Jean Norris

She graduated from West High School in 1961 and began her career as a secretary with Battelle. Later, she dedicated herself to raising her children. After her children were grown, she worked as a nursing aide for 13 years at Mount Carmel Hospital, where she brought care and compassion to her role.

Her hobbies included bowling, crocheting, Christian Women’s Club, and participating in the Twig Bazaar to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also found great joy in volunteering and giving back to her community.

Above all, she cherished her family. To her great grandchildren, she was lovingly known as "GiGi." A devoted member of Buckeye Christian Church, she was deeply rooted in her faith.

Dottie is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Richard "Dick" Norris; daughter, Lisa (Howard) Hale; son, Greg (Shelley) Norris; grandchildren, Brittany (J.D.) Ferguson, Amber (Rodney) Banke, Ashley (Chris) Justice, and Gabe Neill; several cherished great-grandchildren; brother, John Neimeister; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City, OH 43123. Family will greet guests from 3:00 p.m. until the start of her service at 5:00 p.m. Contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/donate/).
