

Eleanor G. “Ellie” Heiser, age 87, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Dean Warner and husband of 54 years, James “Jim” Heiser, parents, Sperry J. and Bertha M. Denton, sister, Erma (Chuck) Burt, brothers, Ernie (Wilma) Denton, Herman Denton, Carl (Alberta) Denton, Lowell (Eunice) Denton, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fritz (Ethel) Heiser, Kenneth (Dorothy) Heiser, Grace (Oren “Mac”) McMahon, Robert “Bud” Heiser, Faythe Heiser, Lois Denton, Richard (Florence) Warner, Don McClarren, Barb (Gerald) Miley, Arlis Mauck, son-in-law, David Burchett. Ellie is survived by her children, Debbie (Larry) Crawford, Jeff (Carla) Warner, Jennifer (Pam Purdom) Warner, Dale (Nicky) Heiser, grandchildren, Christopher (Jamie) Burchett, Logan Heiser, Kyle Heiser, Brent Heiser, David (Mireyah) Marcinek, Brianna Ryan, Brandon Ryan, Ben Ryan, Brady Ryan, great grandchildren, June Burchett, Jackson Marcinek, Benicio Marcinek, Karson Caudill, Kendall Caudill, brother, Cecil Denton, sisters-in-law, Helen Denton, Sandra McClarren, Linda (John) Leiterman, and Emma Heiser, brother-in-law, Paul Heiser along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Ellie was a proud 1954 graduate of Galion High School and went to Mansfield General Hospital to become a Registered X-Ray Technician. Ellie worked at Galion Community Hospital and retired from the office of Drs Ebner, Pabst and Kerbs in 1999. She was an active member of the First United Church of Christ for many years where she belonged to the Friendship and the Genesis Circle, was a Deacon and a member of the Sunday School Board, as well as serving many meals for the bereaved families of the Church. She enjoyed making her house a home. Ellie started her own home business making woodcraft items and selling them, putting together multi-family garage sales and freezing vegetables from the family garden. A visitation time will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 10-12 noon at the First United Church of Christ 248 Harding Way West Galion, OH 44833 with the funeral service beginning at 12 noon with Rev. Steve Court officiating with the option to live stream the service at http://uccgalion.org or on the church’s facebook page. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First United Church of Christ Memorial Endowment Fund.
