

Emily was preceded in death by her uncle, Floyd Ayers, cousin, Charlie Ayers, grandma, Ruth Gammons.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Ava Myers; her parents, Docia and Anthony Ayers; her brother, Jim (Jiana) Ayers; nieces and nephews, Taylor (Mike Iannone) Ayers, Ayden Ayers, and Noah Ayers; great-niece, Guinevere Iannone; her partner of more than 10 years, Courtland Clay; special friend, Bonnie Anderson; aunts, Joy (John) Jones, Christina (Rex) Kuhl, Margie (Tim) McDonough, Lisa Watterson, Janet (Charles) Ritenour, and Paula (Eric) Bischsel; and uncles, Wendall (June) Ayers, Bob (Diane) Ayers, and Jim (Diane) Ayers.
Emily never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a deep love for music of all kinds, enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, and treasured every opportunity to gather with family and spend time with Ava. Emily was a loyal and caring friend whose smile could light up any room. Her kindness, warmth, and compassion for others will be remembered always.
Emily worked in food service for many years, managing several Roosters Restaurants as well as Easy Street in Powell, Ohio, where she built many lasting friendships and touched countless lives.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Grove City, where her funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dale George officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Emily’s name to Susan G. Komen, 929 Eastwind Dr., Suite 211, Westerville, OH 43081.
A luncheon will follow at the home of Stephanie Gordon 6640 Hall Rd. Galloway, OH 43119 immediately following the service.
