Gail J. Burns

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Howerton and Ruby Copley; sister, Glenna Jean (Robert) Channel; and nephew, Richard Channel.

Gail is survived by her devoted husband of 73 years, Harold David Burns; beloved children, Cheryl (Stephen) Paynter, Connie (Ken) Ramella, and Harold "David" Burns III; cherished grandchildren, Cherisha (Tim) Chapman, Stephen (Regina) Paynter, Darin (Jessica) Ramella, Shannon (Jeremy) Gligora, Joshua Jenkins, Anthony Joseph (Shelly) Floyd, and Kristianna (Brian) Floyd; and adored great-grandchildren, Darian, Jillian, Jacques, Caleb, Calvin, Elias, Jaxson, Cohen, Enzo, Gracie, and Parker.

She is also survived by her brother, David Copley; nephews, Jerry Channel and Dale Channel; niece, Shara (Doug) LeMaster; and many dear friends.

A woman of deep faith, Gail was a member of Calvary Apostolic Church from 1953 to 1978 before becoming a founding member of Steadfast Pentecostal Church, where she remained faithfully involved. She served in the church choir, taught Sunday school, and lived a life rooted in service and devotion to God and her family.

Gail retired from KinderCare after 20 years of dedicated service, where she was lovingly known as “Miss Gail” by her students and affectionately called “Kinder Gail” by her own children. Her passion for caring for others extended beyond the classroom and into every aspect of her life.

She found joy in traveling the United States with her husband, solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren — who were truly the light of her life.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Steadfast Pentecostal Church, 4500 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m., officiated by Pastor Kevin Brown. Interment will take place at Concord Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Steadfast Pentecostal Church Missionary Offering.
