Gregg was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, to the late Judith and Mike Mudrak. He was raised in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where he graduated from St. Clairsville High School. In 1987, Gregg moved to Columbus, Ohio, where he made his home for the remainder of his life.
Throughout his working years, Gregg was a dedicated warehouse supervisor. He spent more than 25 years working at the Sears Warehouse until its closure. He later worked at the Kroger Columbus Bakery, Fabcon, and CJ Foods/Kahiki.
Gregg had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting with family, along with rabbit and duck hunting. He enjoyed anything related to hunting and archery, including attending deer and turkey expos. He also enjoyed fishing, particularly trips to Lake Erie with his brother, Pete, and having fish fries. Gregg had a love for cooking and often made his mother’s recipes to share with those he loved. He was a devoted Steelers and Buckeyes fan and could often be found enjoying a good auction.
He had a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Chloe, and his little gray cat, Cotton. While Gregg enjoyed many things in life, nothing compared to the love he had for his family. His most cherished role was being Pawpaw to his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Gregg was preceded in death by his brother, Regis Michael Mudrak, and his beloved beagle, Buster.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Christi (Kelly) Kunkler, and his cherished grandchildren, Landon Mudrak, Aubreigh Kunkler, and Aiden Kunkler, of Lancaster, Ohio. He is also survived by his brothers, Pete Mudrak and Gary (Phyllis) Mudrak; his sister-in-law, Rita Mudrak; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Gregg also leaves behind dear friends who held a special place in his life, including his neighbor, Craig Dawson, and Mike Briggs of Georgia.
Gregg will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered as a great guy who loved the outdoors and, most of all, his family.
