Born to Raymond Carl and Lavaughn (Dougherty) Weisenberger, Herb lived a long life defined by devotion to family, hard work, faith, and friendship. He was a man who valued consistency, loyalty, and showing up for the people he loved.
Herb was preceded in death by his parents; his daughters, Linda Paparodis and Ginny (Wayne) Mott; his brothers, Harry (Lucy) Weisenberger, Don (Betty) Weisenberger, and Kenny Weisenberger; half-brother, Ted; his grandson, Chad Mott; and his daughter-in-law, Marianne Allmon.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Marilyn Weisenberger, with whom he shared a life built on love, partnership, and family. He is also survived by his children, Susie (Craig) Bland and Cary (Geny) Weisenberger; and his step-children, Lorina Allmon, Teri (Dennis) Hall, Cristi Morris, and Mark Allmon. Herb leaves behind a large and loving family including many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy.
Also surviving are his sister, Elaine (John) Pickens; his sister-in-law, Sharon Weisenberger; his son-in-law, Chris Paparodis; along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were blessed to know him.
Herb was a proud member of the Hilliard Moose Lodge and a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Grove City, where his faith and sense of community were deeply rooted. He was one of the original members of Hickory Hills Golf Club, a place that brought him great joy over the years. An accomplished golfer, Herb proudly recorded three holes-in-one, a feat he never tired of sharing with a smile.
He also enjoyed bowling, watching the OSU Buckeyes, and spending time outdoors growing tomatoes, a hobby that reflected his patience and appreciation for simple pleasures. Herb dedicated many years of his working life to General Motors, retiring after a long and faithful career. Never one to sit still, he later went on to work at Beulah Park, where he enjoyed staying active and connecting with people.
Above all else, Herb loved his family. He was a steady presence, a listener, a supporter, and a man whose love was shown through his actions every day. His legacy lives on in the generations he helped shape and the many lives he touched.
