

James “Jim” William Kennan, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on February 4, 1943, Jim lived a life full of love, hard work, and dedication to his family and community.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Kennan, who was his constant companion and support throughout their journey together. Jim and Linda shared a deep and enduring love, building a life filled with cherished memories and a strong family foundation.
Jim was the proud father of two children: Krista Endsley and her husband Nate, residing in Austin, TX, and Brad Kennan and his wife Diane, residing in West Jefferson, OH. He was a devoted grandfather to Brody Kennan, who is married to Jennifer, Jordyn Sebben, who is married to Lucas and Riley Endsley, who brought immense pride and happiness into his life. He was also the joyful great-grandfather to Todd and Luke.
Jim spent endless hours with his cherished friend, Al Wright, with whom he shared many adventures and memories.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Benton Kennan, and his parents, Margaret and Ernest Kennan.
A man of many talents and passions, Jim spent his entire career as a sheet metal fabricator, working with skill and precision as a member of Local Union 24. He took great pride in his work, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and dedication.
In his spare time, Jim could often be found in his garage, working on his lifelong passion—rebuilding cars. His crowning achievement was a meticulously restored 1969 Corvette, a testament to his patience, skill, and love for classic automobiles. Beyond this, he undertook numerous car projects, including the restoration of a 64 Impala.
Jim was a man who believed in giving back to his community. He was a dedicated volunteer at the Grove City Food Pantry, where he spent many hours helping those in need. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many.
Jim’s life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family, his passion for cars, and his dedication to his community. He will be remembered as a man of great character, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose legacy will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2024 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City with interment following at Grove City Cemetery - East. Jim’s family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Schoedinger Grove City.
