Janice Beverly

Janice Beverly, age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 30, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born on December 10, 1941 in Lawrence County Kentucky to the late Woodrow and Nora (Davis) Hayes.

Janice was a 1959 graduate of Linden McKinley High School. She was a faithful member and Sunday School Teacher of Columbus First Free Will Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was also a member of Chapel Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Grove City. In her later years, she attended Hillview Free Will Baptist Church in Reynoldsburg. Janice had worked for over 15 years before retiring from Mettler Toledo. She loved spending time with her family, especially playing Scrabble and other games, creating treasured memories with those around her.

On March 26, 1961 Janice married Franklin D. Beverly. They were married for 51 years before he went to be with the Lord.

Janice is survived by her beloved siblings RuthAnn (Davie) Castle, Edwin (Linda) Hayes, and Freda (Louis) Nettleton. She is also leaving behind her four loving children Cheri (Bill) Hayes, Debra (Dave) Welch, John Beverly, and Ann Jarrell; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 4, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 5750 Grove City Rd., Grove City. Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Edwin Hayes officiating. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 5, 2024 at Cheshire Cemetery, 3271 Cheshire Rd., Galena, Ohio 43021. Contributions in Janice’s memory may be made to Chapel Hill Church or to Impulse International Missions.
