After high school Jason played softball for many years with his cousins, Tony and Nick Covietz, trading his bat and glove to become an avid golfer. Jason was employed by Heartland Express for 18 years. He loved to spend time with his family, having been designated the grill master. Jason never met a stranger. He would spark conversation with anyone and ran into someone he knew just about everywhere he went. Jason was a man who would hold doors open and give up his seat to a woman or the elderly. He loved fishing, music, movies, food and traveling to the beach and especially the mountains. Jason had a witty, sarcastic sense of humor. He made parodies of songs and could come up with a quote from any movie he ever saw. He was a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State football, he couldn’t be more proud that his daughter, Katelyn, is now a Buckeye.
Jason will be missed by many and forever loved.
