Jeff Gattshall, age 59, passed away on September 10, 2023 at his residence with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Marjorie (Westbrook) Gattshall, father-in-law Dale Yake. Jeff married his high school sweetheart, Arlene (Yake) Gattshall and they have been married for 35 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Courtney (Zach Scott) Gattshall, sister, Lynne (Danny Johnson) Bosh, mother-in-law, Jean Yake, sisters-in-law, Anna (Alan) Zimmerman, Amy Vanderhoff, along with many special nephews and nieces and dear friends and coworkers. Jeff was a 1982 graduate of Marion Harding High School and a 1987 graduate of Franklin University with his Bachelor’s Degree. He has worked at The James Cancer hospital for the past 5 years as a scheduler for the Endocrinologist Physicians. He had juvenile diabetes until his kidney and pancreas transplant in 2016. Jeff enjoyed cars, especially fast and shiny ones and enjoyed going to car shows and looking at the latest vehicles on the market. He was a foodie and enjoyed going out to eat for great steak and great seafood. Jeff could also be found at Lake Erie perch fishing, relaxing on a beach somewhere or visiting The Wilds. Most of all he was a great husband and dad spending as much time with Arlene and Courtney as possible. A visitation time will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 11-11:30 am at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd with a memorial service beginning at 11:30 am with Mike Fogle, officiating.
