

Jeff was born on May 21, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio where he was raised by his loving parents, Eloise and Harold Watts. He graduated from Columbus West High School in 1967, and soon after married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Carolyn Sue Watts, on September 25, 1967.
He served in the United States Air Force for four years where, among other duties, he manned a radar station in the Alaskan wilderness at Galena Air Force Base to gather intelligence on the Soviet Union during the Vietnam War. He retired from the City of Columbus in 2022 where he was the Head of Safety and Maintenance at the Jackson Pike Water Treatment facility.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Eloise Watts, and his wife Carolyn "Sue" Watts. He is survived by his daughter Amy (Gene) Peters, son Steven (Kari) Watts, and grandchildren Ryan Peters, Andrew Peters, Jacob Peters, Kiersten Watts, Koby Watts, Kaitlyn Watts, and Kylan Watts, and his cousins Jack (Cathy) May and Jill Schrank.
A receiving of friends will be held Thursday, November 13th from 4-7 p.m. at Schoedinger Norris Funeral Home, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City, 43123. A funeral will be held on Friday November 14th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, 4131 Clime Rd., Columbus, 43228. Burial will follow at Grove City Cemetery West.
Family was the most important thing to Jeff. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed attending family functions, watching and reading about politics and history, and cheering on his beloved Yankees and Buckeyes. Jeff will be deeply missed and forever remembered as an adoring husband and loving father and grandfather.
