Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Sierra Lucille Stone; his grandparents, Bessie Elizabeth Robinson and Hugh Luther Robinson; his brother, Joseph Hatcher Robinson; his aunt and uncle, Kitty and Clarence Holstein; his beloved furry companion, Midnight; and many other cherished aunts, uncles, and family members.
He is survived by his children, Jason (Angela) Stone, Jerrell (Stephanie) Stone Jr., Brandi (Chris) Wall, and Austin Stone; his grandchildren, Sierra Wall, Tyler Wall, Ethan Wall, and Brielle Stone; his dear friends, Robbie Maestle and Addam Wintermute; and many cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Jerry proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War. A devoted patriot, he carried great pride in his military service throughout his life.
Following his service, Jerry worked on the railroad before beginning a career with the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC), where he spent more than 20 years in the Telecommunications Department. He was also known for his skill in VCR repair, which he pursued as a side business for many years.
Jerry enjoyed vegetable gardening, tinkering with just about anything, and solving mechanical problems. Gifted with a natural ability to fix and build, he was known for being exceptionally handy and mechanically inclined. He never met a stranger and genuinely enjoyed connecting with people. Above all else, he loved his family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them.
Those who knew Jerry will remember his ornery sense of humor, his straightforward nature, and the fact that he never had much of a filter. He enjoyed keeping up with current events, especially with Fox News playing in the background, and was a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights. His strong opinions, generous spirit, and larger-than-life personality made him unforgettable to those who loved him.
