

He served his country as a proud U.S. Army veteran and later as a corrections officer for the state of Ohio. He was a hard worker and earned the respect of those who knew him. He was marked by wisdom and a calm presence.
Kenneth enjoyed gardening, traveling, and celebrating with his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Patricia (Quinn); brothers, Roy, Wiliam and James Caldwell; and sisters, Jean Ann Caldwell, Hazel Devault, Opal Saunders, Katherine Butcher and Alma McDonald.
Kenneth is survived by his sister, Aljean Thrasher; sons Kenneth (Paula) Caldwell, Jr. and John Caldwell; grandchildren, Perri Caldwell, Elizabeth Caldwell, Mara Caldwell and Keller Caldwell; great-grandson Kai Hein; bonus granddaughter, Phylicia Albaugh; along with several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Kenneth’s wishes, he will be cremated and a graveside service with Army military honors will take place at Dayton National Cemetery at a future date. Please visit www.schoedinger.com to extend condolences and see if a date has been set for his graveside service.
