

Kenton Lee Kuehnle (79) passed away unexpectedly on May 13, 2025. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Mary (Recktenwald) Kuehnle. Kenton is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sherry. He was a loving father to children Robert (Angela) Kuehnle, Amanda (Frank) Koenig, and Matthew Kuehnle. He was grandpa to Ethan, Ava, Oliva, Cameron, and McGregor. Kenton is survived by his brothers John (Arlene) Kuehnle and Robert (Susan) Kuehnle.
Kenton Kuehnle was a proud graduate of Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois. He earned his J.D. from Duke School of Law. He is a former adjunct instructor in the Paralegal Program at the Capital University Law School. Kenton was the Chair of the Ohio State Bar Associations Real Property section and served on the OSBA’s Specialty Board for Real Property. Kenton served on several committees as a member of The American College of Real Estate Attorneys. He also served as the Chair of the Real Property Committee for the Columbus Bar Association. He was the lead author in the Ohio Real Estate Law Treatise and the Ohio Condominium Law Handbook. Kenton has received various awards, including the “Who’s Who in America” Lifetime Achievement award for inclusion for 25 consecutive years, the Ohio Super Lawyers recognition, and was named as one of the Best Lawyers in America for 25 years.
Kenton was an even better father. He was a volunteer at many school events and served on the Madison-Plains Scholarship Committee. Kenton was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed coaching his sons at all levels of baseball. Within his community, Kenton was on the Board of Directors for CompDrug, serving as an executive member and officer. Additionally, Kenton served as the president of the Grove City Jaycees and held numerous office positions in the Ohio Jaycees. He was an Elder and Clerk of Session within his church.
Friends and family are welcome to join the family for visitation on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 4-7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Grove City. Friends will meet on Monday at 10 AM for visitation with a memorial service at 11 AM at the church, with a lunch to follow.
