A dedicated employee of Kroger for 40 years, Mark was known for his strong work ethic and loyalty. Outside of work, he found happiness in life’s simpler pleasures. He loved spending time outdoors—especially fishing and taking peaceful nature walks. A frequent visitor to the Renaissance Festival, Mark delighted in immersing himself in the spirit of the event, often donning elaborate costumes that reflected his imaginative spirit.
Mark was also an artist at heart. He found joy in painting miniatures and reading fantasy novels, a passion that reflected his vivid imagination and appreciation for storytelling. He had a gentle soul, a warm heart, and a quiet but enduring presence.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Mark Dettmer, Celebrant.
Mark will be remembered with love, missed deeply, and honored for the joy and laughter he brought into the lives of others.
