Mark was one of a kind. My short time at Anchor Hocking was a true blessing in disguise! Lucky me, who knew that back in 2008, when I first met Mark, what would follow was a wonderful friendship! I had so much respect for Mark. We spent quite a bit of time on the road together...so many good memories and fun times! My 1 and only visit to Graceland was with Mark, a trip I will never forget!! We would always laugh at how Ken Stockdale took us to dinner at Bahama Breeze in Memphis, instead of actually eating good Memphis BBQ!! We didn't get to see all that much of each other these last 10+ years or so, but we always found time to catch up on the phone, and I always appreciated his words of wisdom and very calming voice! He will be missed very much! My heartfelt condolences to Lynn and the entire Harden family.

Dear Harden Family,

I had the honor of working with and getting to know Mark as a customer of his for many years. Not only did I have the privilege of working with him, but he also worked with my father early in his career.

Mark was special. He treated every customer the same—great! He was a true gentleman. Having had the opportunity to work with many business leaders and executives, I can honestly say that Mark was one of the people I admired and respected most.

We kept in touch over the past few years since his retirement. We talked a little about business, but mostly about family, and I know he was so proud and happy to have all of his family close by. I will certainly miss him, his kindness, and his sound advice, but I feel fortunate for the time I was able to spend knowing him.

May his memory be a blessing for his family.

Nurse Bright, I am so sorry for the loss of your precious father. He was a kind and generous man. I enjoyed saying hello to him during his rounds at OLPH and the occasional chat at the kitchen counter. His love for the children and his dedication to their safety at school was a comfort as both an employee and a mom. Your family is in my prayers.  May your Dad rest eternally in the arms of our Lord.

I met Mark through Martin Taylor and his buddies,
always the first to say "hello" with a hand shake and smile.

I was very sad to learn of Mark's passing this past Monday.  I had the pleasure of knowing Mark over 35 years and had the greatest respect for his love and passion for the "glass" business, and the way he treated all his customers - he considered many of them his friends.  He was a special man in many ways with a great smile and laugh.
