Marlene J Thurston

Marlene J. Thurston, 89, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 9, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio. Marlene loved cats and playing bingo. She also enjoyed her time watching horse racing at Scioto Downs. One of her favorite pastimes was spoiling her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Helen (Gerlacher) Maier; son, Charles Elmer Thurston, and her brother, Richard Maier. She is survived by her son, David Thurston; daughter, Julia Moore; grandchildren, Annabelle Thurston, Marcy (Ed Garrison) Thurston, Keith Moore, Joann Moore, Leslie Moore; great-grandchildren, Alexis Thurston, Destiny Beamenderser, Kaden Beamenderser, and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 2pm – 4pm on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., (HOOVER RD AT KINGSTON AVE), Grove City where funeral service will follow 4pm with Chaplain Jim Ferrell.
