

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight sisters, two brothers, first husband Willard A. Long and husband Scotty M. Castle.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Teresa D. Freeman (Long), Sharon L. (Long) and Michael Kitchen, siblings Elijah Smith and Geraldine Nibert (Smith), Grandchildren Brian and Nicole Landis, Brett Landis, Lori (Landis) Johnston, Lisa (Landis) and Brad Mitchel, Aaron Vance and Alissa Vance, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends.
Mary moved from West Virginia to Columbus, Ohio as a young adult where she bought her first home in which she remained for 67 years. Mary worked at Westinghouse until she retired. She was a Christian and avid gardener; she loved flowers. Mary was very devoted to her family, always with an open door, and a meal at the ready. Upon wrapping up every phone call she’d always say “when you gonna come see me?” She loved us all so very much.
Visitation will be held 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2023 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., (HOOVER RD AT KINGSTON AVE), Grove City where funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment Concord Cemetery.
