Mary Katherine Purcell

Mary married the love of her life, David Lynn Purcell, on August 31, 1972. They shared nearly 54 wonderful years of marriage. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, David. Together they raised two children, Katherine Purcell and Christopher (Julia) Purcell.

Mary was the beloved grandmother of six grandchildren: Brandon (Brooke) Coon, Megan (Damon) Ledford, Ryan (Katie) Coon, Hayden Coon, and Trevor and Allison Purcell. She was also the cherished great-grandmother of David and Weston Coon.

Mary is also survived by her brother, Steven (Lexie) Veselica; her brother-in-law, Rick (Carol) Purcell; her sister-in-law, Diana Biering; as well as many aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Norma Veselica, and her brother, Paul Veselica.

Mary loved her family and was a devoted child of God. She faithfully shared God's Word and His gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ. Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, family gatherings, and family vacations. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank Mary and David's neighbors, who have gone above and beyond to help during this difficult time.

While her presence will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be held 11a-1p Monday, August 3, 2026 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City. Funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment Grove City Cemetery West.
