A 1972 graduate of Franklin Heights High School, Nancy dedicated 35 years of her career to Nationwide Insurance, where she worked as a Business Analyst. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the relationships she built over the years.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, George H. and Mary Edna Knapp; her brother, Robert G. Knapp; her sister, Fra E. Bagwell; and her nephew, Kelly G. Maynard.
She is lovingly survived by her sister, Sally M. (Steve) Buck; her special friend, Olin B. Collins; her nieces, Dianna L. Olsen, Eva M. Maynard, and Dana L. (Nancy) Knapp; her nephews, Darrell A. (Sandy) Maynard and Donald L. Knapp; her cherished fur baby, Petey; as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Nancy had a deep love for animals and was a devoted “mom” to many cats (and her dog Gabby) throughout her life. She found joy in cooking, baking, crafting, reading, and working on puzzles of all kinds. Her Christmas cookies were a treasured tradition among her friends, who looked forward to them each year. She also enjoyed flower arranging and creating beaded bracelets, sharing her creativity with those around her.
The family extends special thanks to her dear friends, Dawn and Paula, for the care and companionship they gave Nancy in her final days. They also wish to thank the staff of Mill Run Care Center and National Church Residences for their compassionate care.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Grove City.
