Phyllis Joy Herbert

Phyllis Joy Herbert, 95, of Grove City, passed away Thursday August 17, 2023. Born October 22, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, William Erwin Herbert; parents Elias and Mary Byerly; brothers Charles, Earl, Richard, Robert and William Byerly; and sisters Marjorie, Clara Bell and Mary Alice Byerly. Phyllis is survived by her daughters Mary Kay Patterson and Patricia (William) Troesch; 5 grandchildren Eric (Megi) Patterson, Kyle (Valerie) Patterson, Allison Troesch, Emma Troesch, and Abby (Kyle) Compton-Troesch; great-grandchildren Leo and Julia Patterson; her sister-in-law Joanne Herbert; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful neighbors, the Boyden Family. Phyllis was a June 1945 graduate of West High School. She married Bill on May 29, 1948 and was a homemaker who enjoyed playing Bridge, golf, working jigsaw puzzles, walking, Sudoku and spending time with her family, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be held 10:30am – 11:30am Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Schoedinger Norris Grove City, 4242 Hoover Road (Hoover Road at Kingston Avenue). Funeral Service will follow at 11:30am with Pastor Patti Morlock officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
