Robert Johns

Robert Johns, age 84, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Optalis Healthcare. He was born on May 29, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Henry and Nellie Johns. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Lillian.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert (Misty) Johns, Linda (Martin) Vankannel, and Richard (Michelle) Johns; his grandchildren, Jake Johns and Sara Vankannel; and his brother, Ronald (Karen) Johns.

Throughout his life, Robert enjoyed spending time with his wife, Lillian, traveling to Amish country, taking vacations to Myrtle Beach, attending county fairs, and enjoying meals at local restaurants.

He worked as a mechanic right out of high school and later became a truck driver. Robert owned Broadview Radiator for several years and, in his later years, worked as a painter and wallpaper hanger.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City, OH. Todd Blackstone will officiate the service. A graveside service will follow at 1:15 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
