Roberta M. Ridgeway

Roberta M. Ridgeway, age 92, of Grove City passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Mount Carmel Grove City following a brief illness. Roberta was born August 28, 1930 in North Greenfield, Ohio to the late Cordie and Martha Rachel (nee’ Armstrong) Ridgeway. She retired from the Ohio Department of Youth Services after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church of Bowling Green, Ohio. Roberta had a fun-loving personality, a strong will, and kind heart. She was always there for her friends and family and would lighten the mood with a joke or her trademark, “whatever!” She loved Garfield, her cats, and Ohio State sports, especially Buckeye basketball, as well as Duke basketball. Most of all, she loved being with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Richard, and infant brother Donald Ridgeway; and nephew Donald Ridgeway. Roberta is survived by her sister Barbara Gibbs; nieces Brenda (Bob) Nelson and Leigh Ann (Tod) Hensarling; nephews Jeffery and Dana (Kira) Gibbs; Dennis (Renee’) and David (Nancy Lee) Ridgeway; great-nieces and great-nephews and many wonderful friends, especially Bud and Susan Sellers. Roberta’s family will receive friends 5-7 PM on Friday, April 28 at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Road (Hoover Rd at Kingston Ave). A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, April 29 at Oak Grove Cemetery, 1220 E. Merry St., Bowling Green, OH 43402.
