Ruth G. Osborne, 88, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, with her loving daughters by her side. Born in Gallia County, Ohio, on November 10, 1937, Ruth spent most of her life in Grove City, where she built a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others.
A proud graduate of Grove city High School's Class of 1955, Ruth later retired from Southwestern City Schools. Retirement was never a time to slow down, it became another chapter of serving others. She found joy in volunteering at the local food bank, working with the Grove city Historical Society, cultivating lasting friendships through the Darby Valley Garden Club, and making cherished memories on senior citizen trips.
Her greatest devotion, however, was to her faith. As a lifelong member of Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church, Ruth faithfully served her church family in countless ways. She was an organist for many years, served on numerous church committees, and quietly gave wherever there was a need. Just recently, Jackson Chapel honored Ruth for her lifelong dedication and faithful service to the Lord and to her church.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Edna Sheets, and her beloved sister, Marilyn Jean Mallett. She is survived by her daughters, Beth Ann Mahoney (Barry), and Rhonda Kay Fulks (Craig), her nephew Bronson Mallett (Victoria), along with other cherished family members.
Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and compassionate heart will continue to live on in all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
