Shirley A. Puckett

Shirley A. Puckett, age 88, passed away on July 13, 2026. Born April 12, 1938, Shirley was a beloved and cherished presence whose gentle spirit, faithful heart, and thoughtful ways left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A devoted member of her family, she was known for quiet kindness and steady generosity, offering care and comfort in ways both practical and deeply meaningful.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Thelma “Irene” (Jenkins) Puckett; and her siblings, Faye (Raymond) Howard, June (Leonard) Furrow, Fred (Peggy) Puckett, Ronny (Ruby) Puckett, Marge (Glenn) Williamson, and Larry Puckett. She is survived by her brother, Walt (Diane) Puckett, as well as 19 nieces and nephews.

In the everyday joys she treasured, Shirley’s kind-hearted nature shone through. She delighted in collecting key chains, playing with jewelry, and paging through fashion magazines—simple pleasures that reflected her warm attentiveness and gentle appreciation for life’s details. She also loved Hallmark movies, especially Christmas in July movies, and she had a special affection for dogs. Over the years, Shirley helped take care of many family members, a faithful devotion that will be remembered with gratitude and respect.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 9:30-10:30 am at Schoedinger Norris Grove City, 4242 Hoover Road, Grove City, OH 43123, where Shirley’s funeral service will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will take place at Muhlenberg Township Cemetery.

We would like to extend our many thanks, love and gratitude to Quinten and all the wonderful women who cared for Shirley in such a special and meaningful way at the Hoover Haus in Grove City. We would also like to thank all the amazing residence and family members who treated Shirley like their own, and a special thank you to Shirley’s Neighbors Kathy and Craig that give the true meaning to “Love thy Neighbor.”
