

Steven Craig Lewis, 73, of Grove City Ohio passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Leukemia. A proud Navy Corpsman, Steven served for six years aboard the USS Horne, caring for his fellow sailors with dedication and honor. Before and after his military service, he worked at International Harvester in Illinois before pursuing his lifelong career in the electrical field.
Steven earned his Associate of Science degree from Spoon River College in 1977 and completed the I.B.E.W. Apprenticeship in Illinois. He later transferred his union ticket with the IB.E.W. Electrical Union to Columbus, Ohio, where he began his teaching instruction, guiding and mentoring the next generation of electricians. He went on to become a respected electrical commercial contractor and the founder of AC/DC Electric, known for his skill, integrity, and dedication.
He volunteered with the Trivoli Fire Department in Illinois and was recognized for a lifesaving act of bravery. Steven was a lifetime member of the American Legion Paschall Post 164 of Grove City, Ohio.
Steven enjoyed traveling, dancing, and tinkering in his garage with whatever new project or concoction caught his imagination. He was known for his sarcastic humor, quick wit, loving nature, and his constant willingness to help anyone who needed him. Steven loved his family and friends deeply, and he loved his country with the same unwavering devotion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alan C. Lewis and Marian Alice (Healy) Lewis; and his siblings Marianne Welker, Kevin Lewis, and Alan Lewis.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Judy Lewis; his children Chris Lewis, Ohio and Kara (David) Gilbert, Arizona; his stepchildren John Butler, Florida and Jaime (Michael) Hoffman, Ohio; his brothers Neil (Jane), Illinois, Mark (Teri), Illinois, Donald (Michelle), Mississippi, and William (Gail), Ohio; his sister-in-law Charmaine Lewis of Indiana; and his aunt Carole (Lou) Lattanzio of New Jersey. He was a devoted grandfather to Alexander (Sage) Doty, Spencer Lewis, Eli and Mollie Hoffman, Cole, Nolan, and Grace Gilbert, and a proud great-grandfather to Olive Doty. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Steven will be remembered for his service, his humor, his generosity, and the deep love he carried for the people and country he held dear.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2026 at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY, 4242 Hoover Rd., Grove City. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.
