Theresa "Betty" E. Reinhard

Theresa “Betty” Elizabeth (Erdy) Reinhard, age 94, of Galloway, Ohio, was called by her savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 7th, 2023. She was born in Brewster, Ohio on April 28th, 1929 to the late Joseph and Teresa (Miller) Erdy. Betty graduated from Paint Township High School in Mount Eaton in 1948 as class valedictorian. That same year, her parents bought a dairy farm near Hilliard and Betty went to work at Nationwide Insurance in the claims department. She met her beloved husband Joe Reinhard in the church choir at St. Cecilia and they were married there on September 30, 1950. She raised four children and then went back to work at Nationwide where she retired in 1988. Betty was an accomplished painter, seamstress and focused daily on her faith and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph L. Reinhard, her siblings Joseph, (Esther) Erdy, Mary, (Richard) Griffin, Rita Erdy, Fred, (Joan) Erdy, Bill and Walter Erdy and son in law Derrick West. Survivors include her children Teresa Reinhard West, Joe (Sharon) Reinhard, Jim (Dana) Reinhard, Mary (Dave) Jones, grandchildren Joe (Amanda) Reinhard, Anthony (Gina) Reinhard, Theresa (Hope) Whynot and Davis Reinhard, great grandchildren, Ruby and Nora, sister in law, Marilyn Erdy; many nieces, nephews, and their families; and many dear long time friends, especially Rose Murnane, Jayne Bell, Betty Snoddy, and Fr. Homer Blubaugh. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. at Schoedinger Grove City, 4242 Hoover Rd., (HOOVER RD AT KINGSTON AVE), Grove City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43228. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty’s honor may be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
