

Tim went to Grove City High School where he played football as the Center all 4 years. He was known for hard work and his love and dedication for his family. Tim enjoyed canoeing, “working wood”, boating, fishing, and being outdoors. He could be often found in his favorite spot, his garage “office.”
Tim started working at Atlas Linen when he was 21 years old. After several years, he moved on to Van Dyne Crotty as a sales representative and then was promoted to General Manager in Columbus. He and his family transferred to Nashville, Tennessee in 1980 and was the original General Manager of Community Towel and Uniform. In 1985, he transferred back to Columbus. He finally retired from Bode Finn. Tim enjoyed spending his time watching NASCAR and football games. Tim was a loving husband, father, brother, grand-father, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Survived by his wife of 59 years, Brenda Dodge Smith. He is also survived by children Jennifer Smith McCord, Mindy (Chris) Smith Sowers, Brandy (Shawn Williams) Smith Grove; grandchildren Nick and Jackson McCord, Bailey (Matt) Myers, Reece Williams and Avery Sowers; great-grandchild Macie Shane Myers; surviving sibling Steve (Elvie) Smith; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Connie and Mike Parrett, many nieces and nephews, and special friend Marty Rader.
Proceeded in death by parents Everett and Dorothy Smith, siblings Patricia and Mike Smith, father and mother-in-law Ben and Lorraine Dodge; friend Don Rader.
