William E. Hakes

William E. Hakes, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Doctor's West Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents, Scott Eugene and Pauline Lucille Hakes, brother, Bob Hakes. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lois, son Charles Christopher (Kelly Milligan) Hakes, granddaughter, Catie (Allan) Hinch, grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Hakes, great grandsons, Dorian and Bodhi Hinch, sister, Karen (Jack) Schuh, Sister-in-law, Dolly Hakes, brothers-in-law, Michael (Jane) Spangler, Stephen (Diana) Spangler, aunt, Pleasant Cooper, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bill worked over 30 years for General Motors. He had several different positions within the company. He enjoyed fishing, especially with his family, riding his motorcycle, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family. A visitation time will be held for Bill on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 12-2 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY 4242 Hoover Rd (Hoover and Kingston Ave.) with a funeral service beginning at 2 pm with Pastor Dan Cascioli officiating.
