

William Edward "Bill" Killam, 83, of Grove City Ohio, departed this world on November 22, 2023 leaving behind a legacy of love, faith and a life rich in diverse interests. Bill was born in Syracuse, New York on March 2, 1940 to, the late, William S Killam and Mildred Mayer.
After graduating high school, Bill served with the Air Force as ground crew chief where he worked on B-52 bombers and KC-135 tankers. After serving his country, he began working construction for various contractors in the Syracuse area. In 1996 Bill and his wife Marlowe moved to Florida. He then took up a job as a construction superintendent working on his favorite build ever at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Following the opening of Animal kingdom, Bill accepted a position with Disney as an area mechanic carpenter until his retirement in 2012. Soon after they moved to Grove City Ohio. Bill enjoyed many years of antiquing, fishing, hunting, working with his hands and traveling. He shared many of these passions with his wife, children, son-in-law and grandchildren.
Bill dedicated his life to building a family rooted in love. His 60-year journey of marriage to his wife Marlowe was a testament to the strength of their commitment and the deep affection that sustained them through the years. Bill and Marlowe were parishioners of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for 10 years and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
As a father, Bill was a source of guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support to his children. His love extended beyond words, shaping the character and values of the family he held dear. The joy he found in his role as a grandfather added another layer of warmth to the tapestry of his life.
May his spirit live on in the cherished memories of shared moments and the enduring love that continues to bind the family together.
Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Marlowe who passed exactly a month to the day of his departure on October 22, 2023. Also, his daughter Michelle Killam in 1983. He is survived by his children, Cheryl (Richard) Seifritz of Dublin, Ohio, William P (Lacey) Killam of Mandeville, Louisiana, Tracy (John) Trinca, of Owasco, New York. His grandchildren, Kaylee (Mike) Heins, Nicholas Trinca, William J and Thomas Killam and great grandson Emerson Heins and his sister Sharon Usherwood, of Liverpool NY and niece Lisa ( Carmen ) Licitra , of Liverpool NY .
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James Street Syracuse, N.Y. 13206 on December 8, 2023 at 10:30 AM. Burial with Air Force military honors will follow at 12:00 PM at Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Dr, Nedrow, NY 13120 where both Marlowe and Bill will be laid to rest.
