Mrs. Ruth Lois Haskew

Ruth Lois Haskew, age 92, went home to her Lord Jesus Christ, on January 30, 2016. She was born August 12, 1023 in Glenda, North Carolina to Virginia and Luther Verl Holland. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and enjoyed a career as a registered nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Haskew; her parents and brothers, Floyd Holland and Branson Holland. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth (William) Holland Falwell of Highpoint, NC; brothers, J.D. Holland, Samuel Holland, Mack Holland, all of Highpoint, NC, Charles Holland of Sophia, NC and close friend and caretaker of many years, Virginia “Janie” Roberts. Services will be conducted at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill at 11 a.m. on February 3, 2016. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
