Dorothy M. Joseph

Mrs. Dorothy M. Joseph died Monday, January 30, 2012 at Dubuis Hospital. She was a resident of Port Arthur, Texas for 87 years. She was born August 20, 1924 to Ernest and Ruby Lewis of Port Arthur, Texas.

She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942 and was a faithful member of Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church for 56 years where she served in the Ester Circle. She was also a member of the Madonna Civic & Social Club.

Mrs. Joseph was preceded in death by her mother and father and also her husband Matthew Joseph.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Annetta Duhon of Port Arthur; her son Donald Daniels (Donna) of Port Arthur, TX; 4 grandchildren Keith Duhon (Lynette), Kevin Duhon (Vera) all of Houston, TX, Steven Daniels (Tina) and Damien Daniels all of Port Arthur, TX; 5 great-grandchildren; special cousin Savannah Clayton; devoted friends, Mercy Gabriel, Lillian Banks, Alice Veal, Geraldine Wiltz, Jo Ann Knox, Carolyn Steward, Sandra Levy, Linda Blake, Sally Lambert; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church with a viewing from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
