

Eternally secure in her faith and surrounded by her loving family, "Mama" as she was affectionately called, moved to her heavenly home on Tuesday last at her son's home. Having been born 101 years ago in Grand Chenier, LA, she moved to Port Arthur, Texas and married the late John T. Frank. Three children were born and reared; the late James "Bubba" Jones, Georgia Frank-Chaney and Reverend Donald Ray Frank.
She worked at Port Drum, Port Arthur Cafe, and, over 50 years as a domestic for Mr. And Mrs. J. T. Hitt. She loved the Lord and was a member of Old St. John Baptist Church for over 75 years before joining New Hope Baptist Church under the pastorate of her son. She was an active member of the Missionary Society and Nurses Unit an auxiliary of the Usher Board. She held the distinction of being the "Oldest member of the Port Arthur City Wide Ushers Union."
Celebrating her ascension to her Heavenly Father; sister Ethel Mae Dozier of Houston, daughter Georgia Mae Frank-Chaney, son Pastor Donald Ray Frank, daughter-in-law Kaprina Frank, four grandchildren, Nikkisha, Joshua, Alan Paul, Donald Jr, four great grandchildren, a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was also preceded in ascension by grandson Bryse.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, May 28, 2012 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, with visitation from 8:00AM – 10:00AM.
Interment will be at 10:00AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
