A lifelong resident of Port Arthur, she was born on December 22, 1922. She was a member of Paradise Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the Missionary Society.
She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Barbara Jean McDaniel Grant (Thomas), of Port Arthur; daughter-in-law Ida McDaniel of Beaumont, TX; her grandchildren, Kevin Fontenot of Atlanta, GA, Rachael McDaniel of Beaumont, TX, Sharon McDaniel Evans (Marcus) of Houston, TX, Kimberly McDaniel of Shreveport, LA, and George McDaniel, Jr. of Beaumont, TX; 8 great-grandchildren, two close friends, Mrs. Judy Broxton and Mrs. Carolyn Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 11a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Paradise Baptist Church with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
